Colin joined Scotia Wealth Management in January 2000. He provides The Ritcey Team with fully integrated insurance strategies that can assist clients in meeting their specific goals for building, preserving and protecting their wealth.
Colin has been in the estate planning and financial services industry for several years and brought with him comprehensive life, pension and distributor support experience. Prior to coming to Scotia Wealth Management, Colin was an independent insurance professional and has also been a specialist in the area of pension benefits for one of Canada’s leading insurance companies.
Colin has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has also completed his Canadian Securities Course.
Eric has extensive experience providing wealth management advice to clients with complex and sophisticated needs and goals. He has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years.
He obtained his Bachelor of Administration at Concordia University in Montreal, and later completed his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Eric also holds the professional accounting designation of Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Eric continues to grow his knowledge, and lectures at local Universities in Halifax in the areas of Accounting, Taxation and Finance. Using a disciplined and analytical planning process, Eric can work with you and your advisor to develop a highly customized and comprehensive financial plan. As part of this planning process, Eric explores relevant financial, retirement, tax, will and estate strategies.
Your financial plan will identify specific gaps and opportunities to help you establish and achieve your goals in line with your priorities.
Christy is responsible for providing advice and guidance to Estate and Trust clients for their Will and Estate planning strategies. Prior to joining Scotiabank in 2013, she practiced law for several years at a mid-sized firm in Halifax, specializing in the areas of wills and estates law, litigation and banking law.
A graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Anthropology at the University of Waterloo, Christy is also a graduate of the Bachelor of Laws degree at Dalhousie University. Called to the Bar in 2010, she is a member of the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
Christy is a member of the Halifax Estate Planning Council and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Canada).
Kenny is responsible for managing client credit requirements and overseeing delivery of their day-to-day banking needs. He has worked with Scotiabank and in the financial services industry since 2004.
Previous positions held within Scotiabank include Personal Banking Officer, Manager Personal Banking, Account Manager Small Business, and Manager Small Business.
Kenny is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts program, specializing in English, at the University of Prince Edward Island. In addition, he has completed the Personal Financial Planner course, the Mutual Funds in Canada course, and the Branch Compliance Officer course through the Canadian Securities Institute. He has also acquired the Small Business Banker Certification at Scotiabank.
Kenny is active in his community as a Board Member and Treasurer for Family SOS, and as a Basketball Coach with Dartmouth High School.
